Description:
This is a stripped down version of the spell checker patch. You need autoconf and automake to recreate configuration files. It should be easier to apply to new Sylpheed versions.
This is the spell checker backport from Sylpheed-Claws. Needs pspell library and either aspell spell checker or ispell spell checker with pspell-ispell module. Features are:
On the fly spell checking when composing.
On the fly dictionary change, suggestion mode change.
Context menus, menu bar, and 99% keyboard driven.

Notes:
"gzip -dc sylpheed-0.7.2cvs.pspell.patch.gz | patch -p1" in ./sylpheed
You *must* run ./autogen.sh to regenerate configuration files, then configure as usual.
Please read the README.pspell for compilation, configuration, usage and possible problems.
